Small claims court judgement against Sodokoff

The SF Small Claims Court ruled in my favor. In fact, I was awarded the full amount Steve Sodokoff has refused to return to me, and additionally the court ordered him to pay interest and court filing costs! Clearly the judge saw through Sodokoff's absurd stories.

Two months have passed and despite my written and phone call requests to Sodokoff, he has not paid me my money. How does one go about this? Hire the sheriff? What kind of crackpot would continue to harm his own reputation this way? I think his actions are more telling than ever about his lack of moral integrity. For anyone to buy expensive jewelry from this guy would be totally foolish.

Small Claims Court, suit and counter suit

Unbelievable! Sodokoff files a suit against myself and my fiance' claiming damages of $1,500. Hmmm, suspiciously close to the amount he owes me, $1,320. So we go all show up in court, first dealing with my suit against Sodokoff. From the get go he lied again by telling the court clerk that I made it difficult for him to serve me. What?!

I presented my side clearly and with supporting documents. In my opinion, Mr, Sodokoff rambled and did not provide any written evidence substantiating his right to keep my money. More fabrication and twisted truth.

Then it became almost comical when Sodokoff laid out his case against my fiance' and me. I believe it was fairly obvious he was trying to intimidate me and retaliate against my suit.

So now we wait to hear from the judge, who chose not to rule on the cases at that moment. I think it was going to be ten days.

No Show for Court

Mr. Sodokoff is very skilled at playing games. He refused to accept papers from the court sent via certified mail, knowing this would push back our court date. So I ended up making a trip to the city only to have Mr. Sodomoff no show. One could have predicted this turn of events given the sleaziness already demonstrated by him.

Upon the principle of the matter, I will not give up on recovering my money. I now also see it as my obligation to bring about a legal judgement against Mr. Sodomoff, for his sake and for the general public.

Update

We have a court date: March 14th
Too bad this had to get so "unfriendly". The whole mess is spoiling what should be a really fun/exciting experience for my fiance' and I. We want to have a beautiful custom designed engagement ring made.
Perhaps Mr. Sodokoff will return my money soon and we can all put this matter behind us.

Steve Sodokoff jewelry fraud

WARNING: There is an unethical jewelry salesman operating in San Francisco.

Mr. Steve Sodokoff offered to procure a ruby gemstone and allow me to have it for a week to get an appraisal done. Gave him a certified check for $8,800 as collateral with the understanding he would return the check to me if I was not satisfied with his merchandise or it's price. Lo and behold, multiple gemologists and jewelers told me $8,800 was a substantially high price.

I returned Mr. Sodokoff's merchandise within the allowed one week time frame and he gives me back a check for $1,320 less than I gave him, claiming shipping and restocking "fees"!

So we're off to small claims court.
